Cleavitz Support Helps Raise Money for Women in Need of Breast Cancer Screening, Education and Treatment Regardless of their Ability to Pay

Julie Crotty, founder and CEO of Cleavitz®, the only patented crop top for women guaranteed to never to ride or slide, today announced that, Cleavitz will be sponsoring the Power of Pink: Working Out to Stop Breast Cancer event to raise money for breast cancer education, screening, and treatment for women. This is the third year that the Power of Pink event has been held as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month to raise money for the Capital Breast Care Center (CBCC), part of Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Mercy Health Clinic. All proceeds from the Power of Pink event will go directly towards these two great organizations.

The event is scheduled to take place Thursday in Bethesda, Md., October 9th, and includes a one-hour workout at Equinox Bethesda starting at 10:45, followed by luncheon at Redwood Restaurant at noon. Anyone can register for the event or make a contribution online.

“It’s a wonderful feeling to be able to raise money through working-out and promoting health and well-being all at the same time. I love being able to assist Capital Breast Care Center and Mercy Clinic with their valuable work in the community,” said Crotty. “We have donated over $10,000 to date towards breast cancer awareness and helping women in need of screening and treatment throughout the D.C. Metro area and supporting the Power of Pink event is a great opportunity to support a worthy cause and help women throughout our local community.”

For the past four years Cleavitz has been donating two percent of all revenue to Capital Breast Care Center, which is affiliated with Georgetown University Hospital’s Lombardi Cancer Center, Cleavitz recently expanded its fiscal support to Mercy Health Clinic in Gaithersburg as well. Both centers provide vital screening and treatment to women in need, regardless of their ability to pay. Cleavitz Founder, Crotty also serves as a committee member for The Power of Pink Event.
