Movie Song Contest Announced by The Favorite Movie, LLC - Lead by Award winning Nashville Producer Dale Oliver
(PRWEB) October 08, 2014 -- Producers of the film The Favorite, scheduled to begin shooting in Florida early next year, announced today that a contest will be held to select a song for the movie’s soundtrack.
The Favorite is based upon the story of Luke Bernard, who made medical history by recovering from extensive brain trauma in an automobile accident in Hollywood where he was studying acting. Following a full recovery, which astonished his nurses and doctors at the LA County USC Medical Center where he was treated, Luke had a dream about making a movie based upon how the accident and recovery changed his life.
The Favorite is now scripted, budgeted, and using a worldwide social media crowdfunding campaign to raise production funds. The song contest will launch in early October and is open to new unpublished writers and performers throughout the world.
A panel of music industry judges led by award winning Nashville producer Dale Oliver, who is creating the film’s soundtrack, will choose five finalists and two winners. The winning song will be included in the film.
Because the plot of the film involves reconciliation with faith in God, Producer Daniel Bernard, a Pastor in Clearwater, said “We are producing The Favorite to inspire people to find hope even in seemingly hopeless situations. We want the music in the film to reflect the healing power of hope, faith, and love.”
