Lohan drove away with victory with a whopping 49 percent of votes., a price comparison website that simplifies auto insurance shopping for US consumers, announced the results of a survey where it asked over 1,000 California drivers to vote on the worst driving celebrities.

When asked which celebrity was the worst driver, the more than 1,000 California drivers participating in a poll gave a resounding response: Lindsay Lohan, star of “Mean Girls” and frequent tabloid fodder. And it wasn’t even close. Given a choice of nine drivers, Lohan drove away with victory with a whopping 49 percent of votes.

Despite two DUI arrests and a number of other brushes with the law, it has been a few years since Lohan made headlines for legal transgressions. Running the 28-year-old New York native through the comparenow auto insurance quote generator (with all the information we have available) Lohan would not only qualify for insurance, but she could receive California state minimum insurance for $1,294 annually, or about $112 a month.

Former Nickelodeon kid star and now retired actress Amanda Bynes finished second in the poll with 11 percent of votes. “Anger Management” star and #tigerblood promoter Charlie Sheen didn’t come close to #winning with just 10 percent of votes, tying pop star Britney Spears. Oscar-winning Director and amateur mug shot subject Mel Gibson came in fourth with 7 percent. The rest of the pack, in order of finish, included Betty White, Shia LaBouef, Kelsey Grammer and Michael Phelps.

The online survey of more than 1,000 California drivers was commissioned by and was conducted August 18 to 26, 2014 by uSamp, a third-party market research company.
