Today, Batter World announced the launch of its delicious and convenient 100% all-natural pancake batter to over 40 Northern California grocery stores. Located in the frozen food aisle, the batter comes in a squeezable pouch and is available in three different varieties: Original, Multigrain and Gluten-Free. It’s all about taste and convenience.

Bay Area Momtrepreneurs Leigh Judson and Nicole Palmer created Batter World because their kids loved pancakes, but it took too long to make from scratch and mixes had too many preservatives. “We wanted to create batters that busy families could feel good about serving their kids and feel like heroes as now they could make them everyday, not just on Sundays,” said Nicole.

Originally, the Momtrepreneurs envisioned creating refrigerated batters. After almost three years in R&D, flying to Seattle and Nashville where they worked for weeks with food experts to achieve their product's shelf life, Leigh and Nicole thought their idea was dead. They headed back to the Bay Area thinking they would return to their regular jobs and move on. But refusing to give up on Batter World, they decided to fresh-freeze the product—a pivotal decision that was the key to success. “It solved all of our problems as now we had shelf life and could go totally preservative-free as frozen maintains the product's original great taste and important nutrients. Frozen breakfast entrees are also the fastest growing sector in the freezer section so it was a win-win,” said Leigh Judson.
