Fiesta® San Antonio Commission Brings Home 22 Awards from the International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) Annual Conference
San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) October 10, 2014 -- Fiesta® San Antonio was honored with a total of 22 prestigious IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards. Of the 22 awards won, Fiesta® earned five Gold/First Place.
The five Gold awards were earned in the following categories:
• Best Newspaper Insert/Supplement (Fiesta® San Antonio-Charitable Impact Insert)
• Best Single Newspaper Display Ad (Fiesta Fiesta® at the Alamo)
• Best Single Newspaper Display Ad (The Fiesta Store®)
• Best Outdoor Billboard (Fiesta Fiesta® at the Alamo)
• Best Outdoor Billboard (Fiesta® San Antonio)
Additionally, the Fiesta® San Antonio Commission won seven Silver/Second Place awards in categories including: Best Event/Organization Newsletter, Best Outdoor Billboard (Fiesta® Carnival), Best Pin or Button (Fiesta Fiesta® at the Alamo), Best Pin or Button (Fiesta® San Antonio), Best Single New Sponsorship Opportunity, Best Money-Making Idea and Best Overall Merchandising Program; and 10 Bronze/Third Place awards in categories including: Best Full Length TV Program, Best Radio Promotion (Fiesta® San Antonio), Best Radio Promotion (Fiesta® Carnival), Best Promotional Poster, Best Event Promotional Photograph, Best Overall Sponsorship Program, Best Volunteer Program, Best Community Outreach Program (Miss Fiesta San Antonio® Program), Best Press/Media Kit and Best Media Relations Campaign.
Fiesta® Commission Participating Member Organizations were also winners in the international competition. The San Antonio Conservation Society brought home two Gold Awards for A Night in Old San Antonio® (NIOSA®) in the Best Pin or Button and Best Other Merchandise categories; and the United San Antonio Pow Wow Inc. brought home a Gold Award for Celebration of Traditions Pow Wow in the Best Pin or Button category and a Silver Award for Best T-Shirt Design.
The IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards Competition recognizes the outstanding accomplishments and top quality creative, promotional, operational and community outreach programs and materials produced by festivals and events around the world. Awards were handed out in 68 different categories. The IFEA’s professional competition draws entries by the world’s top festivals and events from countries including the United States, Australia, Canada, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, Netherlands, Poland and more; and from cities across the United States including San Antonio, TX; Seattle, WA; Denver, CO; Philadelphia, PA; Washington, DC, Louisville, KY and more.
