Just in time for this year’s holiday season, the Louisiana Holiday Trail of Lights recently launched a newly designed group tour friendly website.

Louisiana Holiday Trail of Lights offers twinkling lights, fireworks, parades, and more.

We go above and beyond to help our group tour operators so that their only responsibility is getting the guests to our destinations, said Katherine Johnson, visitor marketing & grants director of the Natchitoches Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The Louisiana Holiday Trail of Lights is eight partner cities - Shreveport-Bossier, Minden, Monroe-West Monroe, Natchitoches and Alexandria/Pineville - in north Louisiana. The Trail, which spans from I-20 east to west and I-49 north to south, runs from November to December and offers group tour activities such as ice-skating, fireworks, holiday exhibits, shopping, and special events.

Just in time for this year’s holiday season, the Trail recently launched a newly designed group tour friendly website. The website’s expansion includes special events, sample group itineraries, and services that make it easy for group tour operators to plan travel and business between cities.

Since most of the destinations on the Trail are generally an hour drive apart, group tour operators can plan visits to multiple cities in one trip. Several cities on the Trail offer group hotel discounts, manager’s receptions, customized itineraries, and goodie bags for group tours.

“We go above and beyond to help our group tour operators so that their only responsibility is getting the guests to our destinations,” said Katherine Johnson, visitor marketing & grants director of the Natchitoches Convention and Visitors Bureau. “Our goal is to allow groups to have a memorable trip without the pressures of planning all the details. This allows them to plan fun and exciting tours with ease.”

Kick off for the 2014 Louisiana Holiday Trail of Lights begins the week of Nov. 11 with the Lights Before Christmas in Minden and the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Outlets at Louisiana Boardwalk in Bossier City on Nov. 13.
