Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) October 09, 2014 -- Specialty fashion brand, Free People, will bring its eclectic apparel to Annapolis’s Westfield Annapolis Mall on October 31st, 2014. At 2,600 square-feet, Free People is thrilled to join the historic city with its convenient location to the Chesapeake Bay, Washington D.C., and Baltimore. Currently, Free People operates two Maryland retail boutiques at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda and Towson Town Center in Towson. This will be the brand’s 102nd store across the United States and Canada.
Free People’s Annapolis boutique will open ready for the holiday season. The sales floor will be well-stocked with cozy and fairisle winter items perfect to pick up for you or as a gift for a loved one. A winter white capsule will sparkle with beautiful skirts, dresses, sweaters, and knits. True holiday party pieces – focusing on dresses, accessories, and outfitting filled with embellishment, sparkle, texture, and an ethnic twist – will fill the remaining sales floor. Unique gift items, apparel, and accessories will continue to flow in throughout the holiday season. Year-round, the brand’s coveted Intimately Free People line of bras, undies, slips, seamless layering pieces, and loungewear will have a dedicated space within the boutique to round out the assortment.
The space has been designed to feel like the Free People girl’s workshop with rugged elements and natural details throughout. Guests are welcomed through custom steel doors with reclaimed brick pavers under foot and rough sawn wooden slats above. Inside, the space is delineated through reclaimed hemlock columns. The fitting rooms are marked by a sloped ceiling clad in soft maple slats, separated by reclaimed hemlock beams. To balance out the more rustic characteristics, a skylight floods the sales floor with natural light, a pretty light installation illuminates the intimates area, and the walls are adorned with a glittering plaster finish.
“We are happy to finally be opening in the Annapolis area,” says Free People Director of Retail, Beth Wehagen. “We are confident that the Free People brand will inspire and resonate well with the local customer.”
Free People will celebrate the opening with a morning brunch on November 2nd from 11am-2pm. There will be mimosas and light refreshments on hand, as well as gifts for the first 40 guests, and in-store styling sessions.
Each Free People store offers personalized shopping experiences from a team of expert stylists. Customers can schedule a one-on-one appointment with their favorite stylist, as well as interact and gain inspiration through the brand’s online Style Community, FP Me. In addition to offering personal styling, fans can look forward to a variety of in-store events to be hosted at the Free People Annapolis boutique throughout the year.
Free People will be located at Westfield Annapolis, 2002 Annapolis Mall, Suite #1733, Annapolis, MD 21401. Store hours will run Monday-Saturday 10am-9pm, and Sunday 11am-7pm.
