Free People Opens Its 100th Boutique in Virginia Beach
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) October 09, 2014 -- Specialty fashion brand, Free People, will open its 100th boutique across the United States and Canada on October 24th, 2014. The boutique will open at Town Center at Virginia Beach as the mixed-use shopping center continues to expand. Housed in a 3,100 square-foot retail space, Free People’s brand will bring an exciting mix of its coveted eclectic apparel to the development. Centrally located near the busy intersection of Independence Boulevard and Virginia Beach Boulevard, the location will be Free People’s first in the Hamptons Road region, and the fifth in the state of Virginia.
The 100th boutique marks a milestone for the Free People brand, and arrives just in time for the holiday season. In 2002, the brand opened its very first retail location in Paramus, New Jersey, and growth has continued steadily since. Particularly in the last couple of years, expansion has picked up rapidly for the brand, with 12 retail openings in 2013 alone. Free People will continue to open new retail locations, setting its sights on attractive retail markets and international opportunities.
“It has been exciting to watch the Free People brand grow,” says Free People Director of Retail, Beth Wehagen. “I am thrilled to open the 100th store in Virginia Beach as we head into the holiday season.”
The boutique will celebrate on opening day, October 24th, from 6-8pm. The first 100 customers will receive a tote filled with goodies from Tarte Cosmetics and mini succulents, light refreshments will be served, and store stylists will be on hand to give in-store styling sessions. All weekend long, the boutique will be raffling off a $100 Free People gift card to round out the celebrations.
Free People’s Virginia Beach boutique will be well-stocked with cozy and fairisle winter items perfect for you or as a gift for a loved one. A winter white capsule will sparkle with beautiful skirts, dresses, sweaters, and knits. True holiday party pieces – focusing on dresses, accessories, and outfitting filled with embellishment, sparkle, texture, and an ethnic twist – will fill the remaining sales floor. Unique gift items, apparel, and accessories will continue to flow in throughout the holiday season. Year-round, the brand’s coveted Intimately Free People line of bras, undies, slips, seamless layering pieces, and loungewear will have a dedicated space within the boutique to round out the assortment.
The space has been designed to feel like the Free People girl’s workshop with rugged elements and natural details throughout. Guests are welcomed by natural brick, laser cut decorative steel panels, and a custom steel double door entry. Inside the space, the Intimately Free People dedicated area is marked by a sloped ceiling clad with rough sawn wooden planks and reclaimed hemlock beams. An illuminating cage light installation highlights the fitting rooms, and beautiful reclaimed wide plank floors run throughout.
Each Free People store offers personalized shopping experiences from a team of expert stylists. Customers can schedule a one-on-one appointment with their favorite stylist, as well as interact and gain inspiration through the brand’s online Style Community, FP Me. In addition to offering personal styling, fans can look forward to a variety of in-store events to be hosted at the Free People Virginia Beach boutique throughout the year.
Free People will be located at Town Center at Virginia Beach, 4532 Main St., Virginia Beach, VA, 23462. Store hours will run Monday-Saturday 10am-8pm, and Sunday 12pm-6pm.
