Modulo Announces Independent Study Finding Organizations that Automate GRC Experience 25-30% Savings in Compliance and Risk Tasks
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) October 09, 2014 -- Modulo, a leading provider of Technology Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) solutions, today announced the availability of a GRC study published by independent analyst firm Blue Hill Research. Based on research interviews with thirteen organizations spanning all sizes and industries, the study determined that organizations with a GRC program and automation tool experience a savings from 25% to 30% in compliance and risk tasks.
The report, titled “GRC as an Alternative to Spreadsheets in Enterprise Compliance and Risk Management,” provides a guide for other security and risk professionals who are working through their GRC business case development. Based on a matrix that assesses the costs resulting from spreadsheets and manual processes - as well as from the constraints on risk and compliance productivity, impediments to business process execution and increased and unknown risk exposures – and corresponding benefits offered by GRC, the study found that organizations with an automated GRC program also gain increased visibility into exposures and current performance and reduce risk exposure.
Interviewees represented industries including Education, Financial Services, IT Services, Manufacturing, Telecommunications and Utilities. The report also profiles six organizations that selected Modulo Risk Manager as their enterprise GRC platform including:
• Europe-based International Bank: “Breezing Through Audit and Reporting with Modulo”
• Large North American Utility Provider: “Using Modulo Risk Manager to Eliminate Manual Processes”
• International (Indian) IT Services Provider and Consultancy: “Building Flexibility and Responsiveness with Modulo Risk Management”
• Medical Division of a Large University System: “Gaining Depth of Insight With Modulo Risk Manager”
According to David Houlihan, Principal Analyst, for Blue Hill: “Our research highlighted how GRC solutions offer the centralized information management and automated reporting and monitoring capabilities needed to help organizations to keep pace with the expanding complexity and stakes involved in their enterprise compliance and risk environments. Despite the growing attention to risk and compliance by corporate leadership, organizations still face challenges developing business cases that justify the expense of enterprise GRC. As a result, organizations frequently struggle through disconnected data and manual processes to conduct enterprise risk and compliance analysis, reporting, and audit.”
This report is part of a series of case studies and thought leadership tools in which Modulo has invested in order to offer insights for CISOs on how to achieve GRC success across an enterprise.
“Blue Hill has developed a valuable and actionable tool for GRC professionals worldwide who are evaluating the timing and benefits of automation and how to take their GRC program to the next level of maturity,” said Stephen Gant, Managing Director, International, Modulo.
