BULBRITE Launches Award Winning ELEVA™ LED Magnetic Downlight Retrofit System
Moonachie, New Jersey (PRWEB) October 10, 2014 -- BULBRITE, a leading manufacturer and supplier of innovative, energy efficient light source solutions and the premier educational resource for lamping technology, introduces the ELEVA™ LED Magnetic Downlight Retrofit System – a lighting innovation. Launched at the American Lighting Association’s Annual Conference on September 16th, Bulbrite’s ELEVA System is a component based system offering over 1800 design and lighting combinations for 4” downlight applications. The system was announced as a 2014 Lighting for Tomorrow winner in the retrofit category at this year’s ALA conference. “This product offers remarkable flexibility thanks to its innovative magnetic kits,” remarked the competition judges.
Bulbrite’s ELEVA LED Magnetic Downlight Retrofit System allows users to customize their look with ease, from light source to trim. The four part system is comprised of a 4” downlight, a magnetic LED light engine and magnetic trim accessories. Neodymium magnets are used throughout the system allowing users to customize their fixture while having the flexibility to change the light source without the use of tools. Additionally, the variety of light output, color rendering quality and beam spreads allows users to create a consistent look throughout their homes by applying the system in a variety of lighting applications. “There has to be a better way,” said Jeremy Ludyjan, LC - Bulbrite’s Director of Product Innovation and inventor of the patent pending ELEVA system - when it came to evaluating consumer options for LED fixtures. “The magnetic light engine being used in the ELEVA system was the best form factor to take advantage of the inherent properties of LEDs while making it serviceable. Ultimately, it is the light bulb of the future.”
The foundation of the ELEVA system is the 4” retrofit housing manufactured with a standard medium screw base to fit standard, existing 4” recessed cans. The housing is uniquely designed with a magnetic socket designed to power the ELEVA LED magnetic light engines. The housing also has innovative design features that make the unit compatible with both the ELEVA round and square trim accessories.
The ELEVA magnetic light engine is available in both black and white in 2 options: high CRI (90+) 650 lumen and standard CRI (80+) 800 lumen light source. At 90+ CRI and 650 lumens, the ELEVA downlight complies with Title 24 regulations. The 800 lumen light engine is equivalent to a 75W incandescent which offers more light than traditional 4” downlight options. The ELEVA magnetic light engine is available in 2 color temperatures, warm white (2700K) and soft white (3000K) as well as 3 beam spread options narrow flood 22°, flood 36°, and wide flood 60°.
The ELEVA system is completed by a decorative reflector and magnetic trim that is available in both round and square in 5 finishes (white, black, chrome, brushed nickel and bronze.) Offering users maximum flexibility, the unique design of the system allows users to combine round and square accessories, creating 1800 design options.
