Silverado to Celebrate Grand Opening of Innovative Memory Care Community in Bee Cave, Texas
AUSTIN, TX (PRWEB) October 09, 2014 -- Silverado Memory Care Community in Bee Cave, Texas celebrates its grand opening on October 16 with a ribbon-cutting moment that will include residents, their families and Representative Paul Workman, a member of the Texas House of Representatives. The community, which broke ground last year, already serves more than 20 people with memory impairments in it’s first weeks of operation and will serve as many as 90 residents when at capacity.
With the opening of this new community, Silverado now operates two locations in the Austin area, leveraging existing experts in the region to better serve the multiple healthcare complexes in the area — which is a real benefit to residents and their families. Silverado Bee Cave, like all of the company’s communities, is focused exclusively on enriching the lives of memory-impaired residents and their families, as well as the staff that delivers world-class care every day.
"With 18 years of experience in memory care, it’s a privilege for us to provide life-enriching care to the residents of Silverado Bee Cave,” shares Silverado President, Chairman and CEO Loren Shook. "With every grand opening, we get the opportunity to positively impact more lives and in doing so, give peace of mind to loved ones’ families.”
Silverado’s unique approach to memory care results in evidenced-based clinical outcomes for those with memory loss. This medical-social hybrid approach to care combines the social benefits of a community lifestyle with the support of world-class clinical care — including around-the-clock licensed nurses and industry-leading medical directors.
“The day after my mom moved in, I called her and got the best news a daughter could hear – she loved it! She really, really loved it,” shares Silverado family member Donna Thomas. “Her gorgeous smile was back, she was excited about going to exercise class, cooking again, and working in the garden – which is one of her passions.” Thomas adds, “It’s remarkable seeing her walk down the hallway and engage with someone that seems uncommunicative, giving her new purpose.”
Silverado communities also feature elements specifically designed to benefit the memory-impaired — from memory boxes that help residents find their rooms to gardens, putting greens and walking paths which result in giving residents a sense of freedom, control, confidence and purpose in their lives.
Silverado Bee Cave opens under the leadership of award-winning administrator Rose Vera, who brings more than 15 years of experience in assisted living and memory-care. The new community is located at 14058 A. Bee Cave Pkwy, Bee Cave, TX 78738, and is open to visitors anytime. Learn more at silveradocare.com/beecave.
