SimplyScripts.com partners with No BullScript Consulting to create a showcase for new screenwriting talent. This is a free platform created to provide script exposure for new writers and a go-to site for directors looking for their next project, or in search of writing talent.

Get Exposure and Get Discovered!

Earlier this year, SimplyScripts.com – one of the largest online resources for writers – unveiled Shootin’ the Shorts (STS); a free platform created to provide script exposure for new screenwriters, and a go-to site for directors looking for their next project, or in search of writing talent. Since the roll-out, several STS reviewed scripts have been discovered, optioned and gone into production.

In June 2014, an already growing STS expanded further, partnering with leading script consultant Danny Manus of No BullScript Consulting to launch a Feature Length Script of the Month.

Writers from all over the world are invited to submit their polished feature length scripts to SimplyScripts.com for consideration. Through an internal vetting process, a Feature Script of the Month will be chosen for promotion on the SimplyScripts.com site, to a community of over fifty thousand weekly visitors. In addition, the winning script will get a full set of free notes/coverage from Danny Manus, which will be featured in the No BullScript monthly newsletter (and posted on STS at the writer’s discretion.) Any script which earns a “Recommend” rating will also receive additional exposure through No BullScript’s Hollywood Connection Program, which sends out selected loglines and scripts to over 60 production companies, agents and managers.

According to Manus: “In the new Hollywood, what used to be the out-of the-box ways to find new talent, are quickly becoming the new box. We’re hoping that through this new partnership, we’ll find some great talent looking for more exposure and be able to introduce them to producers and reps looking for strong material that’s already been vetted by professionals.”

“There’s a distinct need in the industry for just this sort of service. Everyone knows about the trials and tribulations of the Hollywood slush pile, or the difficulties in getting to know ‘the right people’ to even have one’s work read. The mission of STS is simple: to create an easily accessible platform for new writers to get exposure they need. Though other writing services exist, they tend to work on a fee-based model – thus putting them beyond the reach of many cash strapped artists. At STS, our concern is one thing only: getting worthy scripts seen and produced.” – J. E. Clarke, moderator of STS.

For the Feature Script of the Month, all genres will be considered. Scripts must be standard screenwriting format, and under 125 pages. Writers looking to submit should go to http://www.SimplyScripts.com/STS and follow all submission guidelines. Please note: As mentioned, submission is free and writers retain all rights to their work. Reviewed scripts will be available to the public for download.
