DeWys Manufacturing celebrates Manufacturing Day 2014

DeWys Manufacturing Inc, a West – Michigan based metal solutions company, participated in the National Manufacturing Day (MFG Day) event for the second year in a row. MFG Day allows manufacturers to connect with future generations, educators, and parents along with improving the public image of manufacturing, and ensure the ongoing prosperity of the whole industry.

This year, the three high school teams DeWys Mfg. sponsors collaborated with our team members to make this event happen. That One Team and Allendale Robotics presented the robots they use to compete in the First Robotics competition. Coopersville High School students and coaches were also on hand to present their Electrathon Cars. DeWys also offered tours around their facilities explaining the different machines, how they are used, and what they produce. This allows for students, parents, and educators to gain knowledge of the various career opportunities available in manufacturing.
