Intel® Releases New White Paper on Intel® RAID Performance 12Gb/s SAS RAID Controllers
(PRWEB) October 12, 2014 -- Intel® has released a white paper highlighting its 12Gb/s SAS RAID controllers, which feature the LSI* dual-core SAS3108 RAID-on-Chip (ROC) processor, and offer significant performance enhancements for solutions architected with 12Gb/s or 6Gb/s SAS drives. The information targets data center managers and IT professionals who are consistently looking to ensure that their server storage is optimized.
The white paper demonstrates how Intel 12Gb/s SAS RAID controllers, with built-in FastPath I/O and optional premium feature offerings such RAID SSD Cache, offer new levels of performance for storage arrays. The Intel 12Gb/s SAS product family also supports advanced features and offers flexibility, with support for high-performance SAS hard drives, high-capacity SATA hard drives, and energy-efficient solid state drives (SSDs).
Comprehensive results are included from performance tests, as well as information on the wide range of Intel RAID products available to architect a highly optimized and scalable solution for specific environments.
The 12G generation of Intel RAID solutions is transforming the storage ecosystem with solutions that are faster, smarter, more secure, highly available, and offer significantly lower TCO. IT decision-makers looking to improve efficiencies and lower costs can take advantage of new levels of performance and high efficiency features. These include the StorCLI utility with extensive command line options that easily integrate into clustered environments, and the Intel RAID Web Console application which allows for local or remote management from a single pane of glass.
