YogaFit® Instructors Offers Eight Hours of Complimentary Teaching to the Underserved as Part of Their Trainee Completion
Los Angeles (PRWEB) October 10, 2014 -- YogaFit Training Systems, the world’s leader in Mind Body Fitness Education, is actively seeking non-profits that would benefit from the expertise of YogaFit training. During its Level One two-day training, instructors at YogaFit are required to give eight hours of complimentary teaching to their community as part of their Certificate of Completion.
The YogaFit Community Service Program mission is to bring the practice and benefits of yoga to its community. As part of the program, instructors have taught seniors in long-term care homes, people with disabilities, incarcerated people, the terminally ill, mentally challenged individuals and military servants. The program has given a total of 1.6 million hours of complimentary teaching during its 20 years of business, adding up to a value of nearly $60 million.
“YogaFit encourages and supports the philosophy of Conscious Business,” said Beth Shaw, founder and president of YogaFit Training Systems. “We believe that socially responsible companies prosper from good will and good Karma. Together we are changing the paradigm of what it means to do good business… really good business.”
When going through their Level One training the instructors are provided with the tools to create inspiring vinyasa yoga classes. The dynamic vinyasa sequencing, flowing class format, and transformative language to communicate the mind/body connection have made this the most popular vinyasa yoga style in the world today. The community service requirement then gives the instructors an opportunity to practice their new skills in a calm environment with an appreciative audience.
