Lewis Roca Rothgerber LLP is proud to announce that John A. Masterson has been elected as vice president of the Wyoming State Bar Association for 2014-15. He will serve a one-year term.
Masterson has been an active member of the Wyoming State Bar Association for 28 years, and he is currently the Vice President of the Wyoming Board of Bar Examiners.
Masterson’s practice focuses on the areas of oil and gas law, estate planning and administration, arbitration and mediation and litigation.
Prior to joining Lewis Roca Rothgerber, Masterson served as an Assistant District Attorney in Casper, a U.S. District Attorney for Wyoming, legal counsel and federal/state relations coordinator for Governor Freudenthal and Deputy Director of Wyoming's Office of State Lands and Investments, in addition to other high-profile roles.
Masterson is an active community member who currently serves as the vice president of the board for Wyoming Medical Center, the treasurer of the Tate Foundation, the vice president of the board for the Natrona County Library Foundation, as well as a contributing member of numerous legal and energy trade associations.
About the Wyoming State Bar Association
In Wyoming an attorney must be a member of the bar to practice law in the state. The Wyoming State Bar officially acts under the authority of the Wyoming Supreme Court. The State Bar also works to enhance lawyers' professional ability.
