Idol has been in the news lately because of his autobiography and his most recent album. Kings & Queens of the Underground will be his eighth solo album release and the first since 2006 when he released Happy Holidays. His most popular album release to date has been his 1983 release, Rebel Yell, which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard charts in the United States and was certified Platinum twice by the Recording Industry Association of America.
