CBE Group’s Mike Frost Presents at Pair of Industry Conferences
Cedar Falls, IA (PRWEB) October 14, 2014 -- CBE Group (CBE), a leader in the debt collection industry, announced its Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel, Michael L. Frost, will present at both the ACI and NARCA conferences in October.
The ACI’s 20th Consumer Finance Class Actions and Litigation conference will feature a panel discussion including Frost on Oct. 24. The In-House Insights roundtable discussion will focus on trends seen by corporate counsel, including growth in TCPA class action cases and declines in FDCPA and FCRA cases.
Joining Frost on the panel are Christopher Shaheen, U.S. Bank; Jon Hubbard, Capital One; Michael Goldberg, Wells Fargo Law Department; Chris Lagow, Portfolio Recovery Associates, Inc.; and Tim Collins, Convergent Outsourcing, Inc.
“Our regulatory landscape has shifted and we’ve seen TCPA class action suits continue to rise, while FDCPA and FCRA suits on the decline,” Frost said. “Those changing factors have an impact on how companies approach compliance and manage legal resources.”
The following day, Oct. 25, Frost will present in Las Vegas for the NARCA fall conference. In the session, “CFPB Investigations and Examinations – From the Lens of Experience,” Frost will share CBE’s experience in teaming with an outside auditor to prepare for CFPB regulations and audits. The panel also includes Chris Willis, Ballard Spahr LLP; Joe Cooling, Frederick J. Hanna and Associates, P.C.; and Tim Collins, Convergent Outsourcing, Inc.
Frost joined CBE in 2004. He oversees the company’s Regulatory Compliance Department and guides the company’s direction on all legal matters. He is a frequent guest speaker at various debt collection conferences and meetings, as well as serving on the board of local non-profit organizations. Frost serves on the ACA International Board of Directors and was awarded the 2014 Members Attorney Program Designation.
