Grand Homes, a winner of the Consumers’ Choice Award for Custom Home Building, along with
Harley-Davidson of Dallas are sponsors of the North Texas Motorcycle Challenge. This inaugural competition is a Rodeo and Skills Training event on October 16th – 18th, 2014 at the Village at Fairview, 329 Town Place, Fairview, Texas 75069.

Hosted by Skilled Motorcycle Riders Association (SMRA), the Rodeo will feature various motorcycle challenges that test a rider’s skill and ability. Prizes will be awarded to the best riders. The competition is open to all motorcycle riders. Divisions will include Motor Officers, Civilian Expert, and Civilian Advanced. Motorcycles must be equipped from the factory and at least 1000cc.

Skills training will be provided to participants as a public service to promote motorcycle safety and the benefits of motorcycle training. With training and practice, civilian riders are capable of reaching the same skill and proficiency as motor law enforcement officers. The skills training offered is an effort to produce safer motorcycle riders on the highway.

October 16 will be a practice day with the competition taking place on October 17 and 18. The registration fee is $60 per competitor. The proceeds will benefit The Ultimate Healing Kit which is changing the way both men and women heal after surgery. The Ultimate Healing Kit makes a difference for patients fighting their battle in the DFW metroplex.
