SCORE Houston Hosts Women Entrepreneurs Symposium
Houston, TX (PRWEB) October 13, 2014 -- Owning one’s own small business is a constant challenge filled with many obstacles, but also rewarding experiences. Women entrepreneurs face their own set of challenges. SCORE Houston is proud to present the “FOR THE WIN: Women Entrepreneurs Symposium,” which aims to address those challenges and to present attendees with a set of tools and techniques on how to address those challenges.
Through keynote speeches and workshops, SCORE Houston hopes to address concerns that relate directly to business women within the community and to prepare them for what may arise during everyday life in the local business community. Not only do they focus on life within the business world, but also maintaining a balance between the business world and one’s personal life. Focusing on all aspects of what it’s like to be business women, SCORE Houston hopes to set up local business women for success.
The agenda will consist of keynote speeches and workshops on:
• Women’s Health and Wellness/Work-Life Balance
• Leadership Styles, Influence and Vision
• Finance – Managing Your Money, Speeding up the Cash Cycle
• Negotiation – Techniques when Working with Internal and External Customers
• Business Development – The Sales Process
• Proposal Secrets– Next Proposal…Next Customer
The goal is to equip the audience of over 200 women with mentoring, financial literacy, access to funding and high-level business owners. The event is designed to provide connections, tools and techniques for business women within the community.
FOR THE WIN will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4 at The Kingdom Builders Center located at 6011 W. Orem (between Fondren Road and South Post Oak Road). Tickets include all sessions, breakfast, lunch, snacks and a Mini Trade Fair. Sponsorship opportunities are still available.
