Climate Partners Announces 75th Anniversary Facebook Contest for Owners of Old Furnaces
Milford, CT (PRWEB) October 13, 2014 -- After 75 years in the HVAC business, Climate Partners knew it wanted to do something special to celebrate its customers, and the idea came to them in a routine visit.
"We were recently in the home of a family whose HVAC system needed a major upgrade," said Climate Partners owner Tom Casey. "While looking at the boiler, we noticed a sticker stamped on it and realized it was a boiler from 1956 that my grandfather had installed."
Casey added that, "It was an oil furnace and I had offered the option to upgrade to propane in order for the client to save money on energy bills. She had spoken with several other HVAC companies and was extremely happy with Climate Partners, so much so that she recommended us to a few of her friends."
The nostalgic encounter inspired them to hold a 75th Anniversary contest on Facebook for legal residents living in single family homes in New Haven and Fairfield counties in Connecticut. Contest participants can enter by posting a picture of their furnace and the date it was installed. Submissions can be posted from Oct. 15-Nov. 14 and the contestant with the oldest system will be awarded with no-charge installation of a complementary heating system up to $3,500 in value.
"Just goes to show that back in 1956, we were installing state-of-the-art systems and we're still providing excellent products now and in the future," Casey said of finding the old furnace.
"The coolest thing about this is that we always talk about customers for life and here we are, the third generation, getting the chance to replace our system for a new family moving in," said Casey. "Being able to replace a system that was ahead of its time back in the 50s with a state of the art system by today's standards resulted in a project that literally went full circle."
The contest is one of many ways that Climate Partners is thanking new and existing customers for their business during the company's 75th year in business.
"Climate Partners has always been known to be on forefront of the HVAC industry as far as the systems that we support and install," Casey said. "This is just another way for us to offer someone new an opportunity to make their home a clearer, safer, warmer, more efficient home." He also hopes that the contest will make participants more aware of how their systems affect the environment, and whether an update would help reduce their carbon footprint.
The winner of the contest will be announced on the company's Facebook page on Monday, Nov. 24.
