AIC has recently launched SB122-TO which has 8 x 2.5” PCIe SSD (Front) + 2 x 2.5” (front) hard drive bays to provide a highly dense, hybrid storage solution. It's a unique, flexible server solution that can be customized to meet business challenges.

There are some NVMe / PCIe SSD server solutions out there. However, there is only one 1U8Bay PCIe SSD offering on the market: AIC SB122-TO. This unique, flexible storage server platform provides a level of storage density and MAX I/O that competing solutions simply can't match, with support for some of the best SSDs available today, including Intel® SSD DC P3700 Series, Intel® SSD DC P3600 Series and Micron P420m PCIe SSD drives.

SB122-TO delivers high bandwidth, high density and low latency in a 1U form factor providing the perfect server environment for running applications that requires fast data delivery, such as video-on-demand broadcasting, hyperscale computing, big data analytics, In-Memory, virtualization, Hadoop, and Very Large Database (VLDB).

SB122-TO is an Intel platform server solution which supports two Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2600/E5-2600 v2 Processors with Intel® C604 Chipset to provide 5+ years product life cycle. By using the Intel® Solid-State Drive Data Center Family for PCIe*, SB122-TO gains extreme data throughput with up to six times faster data transfer speed than 6 Gbps SAS/SATA SSDs. “Intel PCIe SSDs in the 2.5” form factor unleash the true performance of solid-state drives by eliminating the bottleneck of the drive interface. Traditional SAS and SATA SSDs performance were limited to maximum bandwidth of the SAS or SATA interface. The PCIe SSD 2.5” form factor connects directly to the PCIe interface, and can fully realize the available bandwidth of 3.94 GB/s from four lanes of PCIe v3.0. The increase in throughput and lower latencies provides unparalleled storage performance, and closes the gap between local storage and main memory on the memory hierarchy.” said CT Sun, Chief Architect at AIC.

SB122-TO and Intel® Solid-State Drive Data Center Family for PCIe are built not only to perform but also to last. Same as all other AIC server solutions based on Intel embedded roadmap, the SB122-TO features longevity and goes through a series of validation test during development phase. Intel® Solid-State Drive Data Center P3700 Series, according to Intel, can sustain 10 full-drive write per day.
