SOLEX College Announces Industrial Maintenance Technician Certificate Program in Wheeling, IL
Wheeling, IL (PRWEB) October 15, 2014 -- SOLEX College is proud to announce the launch of its Accredited Industrial Maintenance Technician Program in Illinois’ District 10, with classes beginning on October 20th 2014. The State of Illinois is the third largest manufacturing corridor in the State. SOLEX is located in the heart of the District 10.
Filling jobs as the integration of technologies converge in the manufacturing arena at the same time Industrial Maintenance Technicians are ‘aging out of the workforce” is what SOLEX does well. Right now, employers are seeking new hires in this arena that bring with them the core understanding and hands-on experience that a multi-skilled and multi-disciplined industry demands.
SOLEX College has created a unique alliance with IcarTeam. Both organizations are located in Wheeling IL. While SOLEX provides the training on site at the IcarTeam facility, the leader in industrial service maintenance and depot level component and parts repair, IcarTeam will hire select SOLEX students to work at the same site as part time employees. SOLEX students will actually do the same kind work that they are training to become certified in as Industrial Maintenance Technicians.
While many schools partner with local businesses and industry, SOLEX College, according to the President of IcarTeam, Mr. Anton Koretskov, was the only school that met his criteria for training whereby the practical application in the learning experience can occur at the same facility where selects student will be hired to work by his company.
Succinctly, Dr. Leon E. Linton, President of SOLEX College envisioned such a partner as IcarTeam, whereby students will conduct their hands on practical application on equipment that is exactly the type of equipment they will troubleshoot and repair in the field. Said Dr. Linton, “Imagine if our students work on the same equipment in the lab as what they’ll work on once hired – their transition from school to work will be significantly reduced and they will adapt more rapidly thus enhance productivity for their employer”.
Classes start every 4 weeks. SOLEX offers morning, afternoon and evening classes to accommodate the needs of is students. The program is fully accredited. SOLEX provides financial aid for those who qualify. Already SOLEX has a database of employers asking SOLEX to provide them with their next generation of Industrial Maintenance Technicians, Job placement is key and career development in the field of Industrial Maintenance is essential.
