LDM Global today announced its new data center in Sydney, Australia, is fully operational. LDM Global, http://www.ldmglobal.com, is a leading international provider of eDiscovery services for law firms, corporations and government agencies.

The expansion into Australia, a six-figure investment, is due to an increase in client demand. It propels LDM into an exclusive tier of global providers with the ability to offer eDiscovery hosting in multiple tools on three continents – with data centers now in the United Kingdom, United States and Australia. LDM Founder and CEO Chris O’Reilly outlined some benefits the addition of this third data center will offer LDM Global customers:

  • Complete security – all data is held out of the cloud, providing increased security and client control
  • Full hardware redundancy – providing the ability to keep restore points for 60 days, full failover, business continuity and disaster recovery strategy
  • Increased upload/download speeds from the local data center
  • More technology offerings – LDM Global now offers two of its top eDiscovery tools, Relativity 8.2 and Viewpoint, on three continents
  • Expanded services in the Asia-Pacific region

“Because of data privacy laws that are different in each country, as well as increasing demand from international clients, it really made sense for us to expand into Australia,” O’Reilly said.

“The eDiscovery industry is constantly evolving, and we need to be nimble and able to respond to customer demands quickly,” O’Reilly said. “By doing what we do best and staying ahead of every innovation in our business, we free up lawyers to do what they do best: practice law.”

The opening of the data center coincides with the launch of LDM Global’s new website, which seeks to help customers find information about eDiscovery more easily. The company plans to update its website’s “Knowledge Center” regularly with industry articles, webinars and service information.
