We are excited to have Clutch join many other prestigious firms and organizations for key discussions on major trends within the European legal community.
London, UK (PRWEB) October 16, 2014
Aamir Khan, European General Counsel and AVP at Clutch Group, an organization dedicated to delivering the professional services for law, spoke yesterday at the Second Annual Yerra Solutions Conference. In a panel discussion named “Trends and Perspective in the In-House Legal Sector,” Mr. Khan joined other in-house counsel and Chief Operating Officers to offer his insights into how legal teams around the world should shift their business operations through the use of technology.
Mr. Khan’s panel addressed several key issues, including how to develop relationships between outside counsel and in-house teams, how these relationships continue to evolve, and how establishing a knowledge management centered culture can foster success for the future. Mr. Khan specifically addressed how in-house counsel are increasingly focusing on compliance and risk issues and becoming more proactive in their day-to-day business functions by embracing technology.
“The nature of the role of in-house lawyers in Europe has changed drastically since the financial crisis,” Mr. Khan explained in the panel. “Legal teams are beginning to move away from strictly legal and commercial operations and entering the compliance and risk space. In-house lawyers are now becoming proactive by growing their technology-driven legal solutions. This is why we’re seeing a shift in roles of in-house counsel.”
In addition to Mr. Khan, panelists included Mirko Consolascio, VP & General Counsel and COO of Strategy & Programs at Credit Suisse; Martin Henrich, General Counsel at Avon Products; and Monika Naef, Partner at Dufour Advokatur. Ari Kaplan, Principal at Ari Kaplan Advisors, moderated the panel.
Rajitha Boer, Founder of Yerra Solutions, the company behind the conference, explained why conferences like these are so important. “The purpose of the Yerra Solutions Annual Conferences is to bring together senior in-house counsel, COOs, and CIOs for a chance to attend a variety of sessions that highlight strategies, operations, and technology for legal departments. We are excited to have Clutch join many other prestigious firms and organizations for key discussions on major trends within the European legal community.”
