Ottawa’s Newest Medical Aesthetic Clinic to Offer Green Waterless Pedicures
Ottawa, ON (PRWEB) October 22, 2014 -- DermIDEA, Ottawa’s newest medical spa is offering the Green Pedicure. Nail polish used is free of toxins such as dibutyl phthalate, formaldehyde, and toluene, all which are ingredients with negative health and environmental effects. The pedicure is waterless, with use of sterile, autoclaved or disposable instruments only for maximum safety.
Waterless pedicures reduce risks associated with traditional spa pedicures where basins and pipes can be breeding grounds for bacteria, viruses such as warts, and fungi. This leads to contamination of water when soaking the feet, resulting in foot and nail infections. In a dry pedicure, a softening and disinfecting lotion is rubbed into the feet and legs, which are then treated with a luxurious wrap. Following is your nail and foot care, colour application and a pampering leg massage. The result is beautiful healthy natural nails and skin.
The moisturizing product used is Cleure Emu Oil, an oil obtained from the ostrich-like emu, known for it’s highly moisturizing capability, and it’s hypoallergenic properties. All animals are organically fed and free range, and each bottle of Emu oil has the American Emu Oil Association seal on it to prove its purity. All our products are paraben and salicylate free.
DermIDEA AntiAging & Medical Aesthetics, Ottawa’s newest physician directed medical spa, is pleased to announce it is offering the Green Pedicure. Dry pedicures have less associated infectious risks, but can be just as luxurious as traditional ones.
