RURO, Inc. achieved a second consecutive annual period with greater than 100% sales volume growth. Contributing highlights to the company’s success included the release of a new version of its flagship solution platform, Limfinity®, the opening and immediate success of its first foreign office in Shanghai, and highly visible customer installations.
Limfinity® Version 5 contained a key set of updates enhancing the user and admin experience for RURO’s growing customer base with multiple software licenses per solution, such as the test and production environments found in most Pharmaceutical or Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) regulated installations, and customers that utilize cloud deployment.
RURO Shanghai opened its doors at the beginning of the fourth quarter and began three full scale installations of Limfinity®-based healthcare informatics solutions before fiscal year end.
Important domestic Limfinity®-based solutions deployed were those at NHGRI (National Human Genome Research Institute) and the world’s third largest pharmaceutical company. Both stand out in their respective areas for being deployments at leading translational science and 21 CFR Part 11 regulated international inventory sample management sites, respectively. Another key customer installation was RURO’s RFID and Limfinity®-based asset tracking and security solution in the Middle East which was significant for its scale and comprehensive hardware/software integration.
RURO’s off-the-shelf sample management system, FreezerPro®, was the company’s first platform that achieved significant success. FreezerPro® also had a new version released and achieved a record breaking year in 2014.

Another aspect of the fiscal year was the growth in performance and membership of RURO’s partner network. Collaborations with the leading cloud services provider and top laboratory solutions and hardware companies in Asian, European, Middle Eastern and Australasian markets, such as Thermo Fisher Scientific ANZ, contributed to solid results in 2014 and appear poised to expand further in fiscal 2015.
RURO plans to expand its workforce by 24% in the first quarter of Fiscal 2015, which includes increasing technical staff levels in its corporate headquarters in Frederick, MD, on the West Coast, and in its Shanghai satellite office.
