Jimmy Johnson Hosts New "Champions of Industry" Segment on Fighting Gum Disease
(PRWEB) October 17, 2014 -- Gum disease, often referred to as periodontal disease, is an issue that is plaguing many Americans. Gingivitis is considered the earliest stage and recent studies by the American Dental Association and the CDC have discovered that approximately 50 percent of Americans are plagued by gum disease on one level or another.
There are many different ways to successfully fight gum disease. This includes brushing correctly, flossing, and making at least annual trips to the dentist for a cleaning and checkup. All of these methods are discussed in detail during an upcoming segment of "Champions of Industry," hosted by Jimmy Johnson. The aim of the segment is to educate the public about fighting gum disease.
Various dentists and periodontists are called upon to provide their expert opinion on what needs to be done to fight gum disease. They talk about what they have seen on patients and what has to be done once gum disease is present.
