Association of National Advertisers Awards Rising Marketing Star Honors to NTC’s Eddie Eames
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) October 16, 2014 -- The National Theatre for Children (NTC) announced today that Eddie Eames, Manager of Marketing and Client Services, has been selected as one of the Rising Marketing Stars for 2014 by the Association of National Advertisers (ANA). Eddie was selected for his role in establishing a marketing partnership between NTC and Edison International, one of the nation’s largest electrical utilities. Eddie and his team worked to create a ground-breaking safety campaign, executed through Southern California schools, with specific emphasis on underserved and bi-lingual communities. Eddie was selected for the award by the ANA for his high level of competence, leadership and professionalism in the field of marketing at The National Theatre for Children. Winners were announced at the annual Masters of Marketing Conference, held October 15-18, 2014 in Orlando, Florida.
A 2009 graduate from the University of St. Thomas in Marketing and Communications, Eddie has been a part of the NTC team for six years. He spent time in Customer Service and Client Services before adding Sales and Marketing to his responsibilities. Katie Miesen, Director of Client Services says Eddie is a constant source of innovative ideas for NTC’s marketing team. In the six years I’ve worked with him, he has shown complete competence and professionalism with each assignment. Vice President of Production and Operations, Pat Rowan added Eddie works tirelessly on NTC’s behalf. He is an effective communicator, a creative problem solver and dedicated manager who contributes greatly to NTC’s fun loving, fast paced and productive work environment.
For Edison International, Eddie created A Bug’s Light, a live educational theatre campaign, sponsored by Edison, produced and delivered into schools by NTC. The program targeted low and moderate income schools, teachers, students and their parents throughout Southern California, presented in both English and Spanish. Over the course of the campaign, students received science-based curriculum regarding electrical safety. These students were armed with practical information to help them understand fire hazards and the importance of caution around electricity. Through live performances by professional actors, bilingual workbooks, in-class discussion and homework assignments, Edison International’s vital safety information came to life for hundreds of elementary school children. Through the creation and implementation of this program, Eddie’s marketing skills were tested and proven as he convinced the public utilities giant that live theatre can not only change lives, but save lives as well. Thousands of children are injured or killed each year as a result of electrical accidents and fires. Nearly 28,600 underserved children, parents and teachers received valuable information on how to stay safe around electricity, directly benefiting from Eddie’s vision.
