Tennessee-based bank, SmartBank, promotes Brandon Christopher to Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer to oversee the bank’s core operational functions.

Tennessee-based SmartBank has promoted Brandon Christopher to Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Previously, Christopher worked as Vice President and Director of IT and will now manage the bank’s core operational functions, including IT, deposit operations and client services.

“I am honored to be given such a wonderful opportunity at SmartBank,” said Christopher, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. “This promotion is a goal that I set for myself long ago, and I cannot wait to hit the ground running with my new responsibilities.”

Christopher carries with him more than nine years of experience in the banking industry. Prior to joining SmartBank, Christopher worked as Network Engineer at TeamHealth, one of the nation's premier providers of hospital-based clinical outsourcing. In addition, Christopher served as Network Engineer at At-Net Service, a leading technology integration firm in the Southeast.

Christopher holds various certifications in IT, including Cisco Certified Network Associate and Certified Information Systems Security Routing Professional. He lives in Sevierville with his wife, April, and two children.
