Tutors International endorses new entrance exam preparation website
(PRWEB UK) 20 October 2014 -- Exam Papers Plus aims to provide specialist e-papers aimed at parents, schools and students to help prepare pupils for competitive entrance exams to grammar and independent schools across the UK. Highly accurate practice exam papers provide parents insight into their child's ability, as well as highlight areas of strength and weakness ahead of important entrance examinations.
Recognising a gap in the market, creator Faisal Nasim commented “Whilst there are some providers of 11+ resources, they have not been updated in years and do not acknowledge the difference in examination style between grammar and independent schools. We also saw that there is a lot of misinformation out there surrounding the examination process at top schools. We aim to inform and educate parents of the process by explaining what they need to know so that they can provide their children with the necessary tools to achieve their potential. Examinations do not need to be stressful if you approach them in a healthy and educationally sound manner.”
The exam preparation site also caters for the 7+, 8+ and 10+, areas that have very limited resources at present. Mr. Nasim explained why this might be, stating, “It is impossible to understand and gain knowledge of the examination process without significant personal experience, as few details are publicly available”.
Mr. Nasim was therefore ideally placed to develop the business, having worked as both a private tutor and consultant for a number of years, helping students gain entrance to the school of their choice.
Mr. Nasim demonstrates a deep personal understanding of the exam process: “I have tutored for number of years now specialising in 7+, 8+, 10+, 11+ and 13+. I have an excellent track record and have helped countless students achieve their goals. I have also been through the process myself. I was awarded a 7+ Scholarship to Dulwich Prep, an 11+ Scholarship to Colet Court and a 13+ Scholarship to St, Paul's School. I then went on to read History at Jesus College Cambridge.”
Compiling and testing the exams was a lengthy and time-consuming task, as Mr. Nasim explained: “The resources have been tried and tested rigorously. It's quite a painstaking process and not always easy to gain up to date information. We are involved on the ground and constantly update our products to reflect changes in styles and questioning. We have a great network of contacts including teachers, parents, tutors and students who have all provided us with insight into the process and we now have some useful statistical indicators and correlations between use of our resources and examination success.”
Mr. Nasim continued, “It's been going really well. We have been inundated with orders and enquiries and are in the process of setting up a number of exciting new partnerships. Feedback from parents has been universally positive.”

A series of 7+, 8+ and 11+ mock exams that will simulate the examination environment and provide students with the best possible exam practice is also due to be launched in the next month.
