Tagkast is Nominated Among the Top Finalists for the Event Technology Awards
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) October 17, 2014 -- Out of hundreds of nominees, Tagkast has been selected as one of three finalists for the Best Overall Use of Social Media award. The Event Technology Awards celebrate the best digital+live event marketers in the industry.
Tagkast, the Chicago-based social amplification platform for live events, is nominated for their campaign with the American Diabetes Association. During five Tour de Cure races in New York and Illinois, the ADA implemented Tagkast to amplify the event on social media and support online fundraising initiatives.
Using Tagkast technology, race participants and event-goers shared real-time experiences with their social media followers. The tablet activation platform helped the ADA interact with more attendees and inspire them to share branded content with their personal social networks. Ultimately, the shared brand content – photos and links – drove new users back to online fundraising pages in addition to increasing brand awareness.
For example, during the 2014 Saratoga Tour de Cure race, the ADA accumulated more than 2,700 photos and nearly 900 email addresses. The event resulted in 445-shared links on social media. In total, the ADA saw 1,373 link clicks, 660 link likes, and 50 link comments in support of online fundraising efforts.
