Following the recent launch of its next-generation intrusion prevention system (NGIPS), Bricata, LLC today announced the formation of its management team, which brings together nearly eight decades of combined cyber security, engineering, sales, and management experience. Bricata’s ProAccel ProAccel System for network and cyber security threat defense is currently available to both federal and commercial customers in both appliance and Cloud-based models.
John Trauth, CEO/President, brings more than 25 years of demonstrated successes in driving market expansion, revenue growth and operational excellence at large established companies such as BEA, Oracle, IBM, and Tektronix, as well as with smaller companies such as Cybertap, QMS, Enterworks and Merlin International. Trauth previously served as President of both Cybertap (acquired by IBM) and Merlin International.
Iain Davison, Co-Founder and CTO, has more than 15 years of experience in the cyber security industry. Before founding Bricata, Iain was a senior engineer challenged with creating integrated environments for security products, architecting new secure networks, and developing ways to secure legacy environments more cost effectively. Iain held senior security engineering and architecture positions at HP, RSA Security (EMC), Xceedium, and UUNET Technologies/WorldCom/MCI.
Randy Stephens, COO brings 19 years of demonstrated success in operations and administration for high tech, telecommunications and defense companies. Stephens organized and developed two successful start-ups in the mid-90s, and prior to joining Bricata, he worked as a turnaround expert for several large defense contractors. As an organizational and development expert, Randy was central to the nation-wide growth and success of Teligent, Inc.
“I’m thrilled that Bricata has attracted the best talent in the cyber security industry,” said President and CEO John Trauth. “Early demand and response to Bricata’s technology has been exceptional, validating our belief that the market is really ready for a more cost-effective, NGIPS. On top of that, we have an outstanding team in place to quickly expand our offerings and market presence.”
