PolicyPak Adds Powerful New Internet Explorer Configuration Management Abilities
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) October 17, 2014 -- PolicyPak Software, the leader in application configuration management (ACM), today announced a revised and updated Pak for Internet Explorer, giving admins improved Configuration Management abilities over settings for permissions, plug-ins and certificates.
Admins will now have the following new powers over Internet Explorer settings with the revised Pak as part of the PolicyPak Suite:
• Extensive control of Internet Explorer’s user permissions, including popups, start pages, security zones, and privacy settings
• Add and remove Favorites to Internet Explorer users
• Ability to disable Internet Explorer plug-ins, toolbars, accelerators and search providers, either globally or on an individual basis
• Dynamic management (Add/Removal) of security certificates to Internet Explorer
• Dynamically deliver sites to both legacy Compatibility Mode and Internet Explorer 11’s new “Enterprise Mode”.
With the updated Internet Explorer Pak within PolicyPak Suite, available for all modern versions (From Internet Explorer 8 onward to Internet Explorer 11), admins now have improved Internet Explorer Configuration Management, and more control than ever over which settings their users have access to. For example, admins can now specify global settings for Internet Explorer plug-ins – or disable them entirely – across their entire network, knowing that PolicyPak ensures those settings are delivered, enforced and locked-down, so users cannot work around them.
The updated Internet Explorer Pak works with both the On-Premise Edition of PolicyPak Suite – delivering, enforcing and locking down settings across an entire domain of user machines – as well as the Cloud Edition of PolicyPak Suite – delivering, enforcing and locking down settings for remote or non-domain-joined machines over the PolicyPak Cloud delivery service.
Jeremy Moskowitz, PolicyPak founder and Group Policy MVP, said of the revised Pak: “We’re offering solutions to a number of important admin requirements when managing Internet Explorer: control over popups, plug-ins and security settings; the ability to enable or disable add-ons either selectively or globally; and the ability to manage certificates on a dynamic basis. These new Application Configuration Management powers for Internet Explorer will help administrators be more effective administrators.”
