Mount Agamenticus to the Sea Initiative Selects Calypso Communications
Portsmouth, NH (PRWEB) October 21, 2014 -- Calypso Communications, an integrated, full-service public relations, marketing, and creative design firm, today announced it was selected by the Mount Agamenticus to the Sea Conservation Initiative (MtA2C) for an array of messaging, website design, and video projects. MtA2C is working to add 6,000 acres of conserved land to the existing conserved open space in the greater Mt. Agamenticus region by 2032 for the benefit of people and wildlife.
“We are thrilled to be working with the Calypso team. They bring a fresh, creative perspective and are a ‘one-stop shop’ for the wide range of design and writing services we require,” said Karen Young, coordinator of MtA2C. “The Mount Agamenticus region is the largest unfragmented coastal forest between Acadia National Park and the New Jersey Pine Barrens and has more types of plants and animals than anywhere else in the state of Maine. These natural resources also support the rural character and quality of life we have in this region. Calypso is helping us communicate the importance of protecting this vitally important natural place in new, creative ways.”
Calypso is designing a responsive website that will host dynamic content, including a video showcasing the beauty of the region, with a goal to reengage key stakeholders, reach new supporters, and raise awareness of the organization’s important conservation work.
“The Calypso team excels at developing and communicating sustainability messages,” said Becky Holt, PR and sustainability executive at Calypso Communications. “MtA2C is an organization that lives and breathes sustainability, and we are thrilled to implement strategies that will move the needle and breathe new life into its brand.”
MtA2C comprises 10 partner conservation organizations that are working to protect a broad range of community-based conservation benefits in a six-town area of Southern Maine. These partner organizations include: the Great Works Regional Land Trust, Kittery Land Trust, York Land Trust, Maine Coast Heritage Land Trust, The Nature Conservancy, and Rachel Carson National Wildlife
Refuge.
