Shannon Gilbert has been promoted to Director of Sales & Marketing at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel announced General Manager Bruce Brainerd. Gilbert will now be responsible for all the resort’s sales and marketing efforts including leading the group and leisure sales teams, overseeing revenue management, and coordinating all marketing and public relations efforts for the 396-room oceanfront resort.
“Shannon has made a tremendous impact since she joined the property as director of sales three years ago,” said Brainerd. “She has been a strong leader within our hotel, driving our sales performance to new heights, while simultaneously building upon our achievements of the past 30 years. With nearly 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, she most recently served as the director of sales at the resort, joining the team three years ago from The Ritz-Carlton, Denver where she was the opening director of sales and marketing. Prior to her appointment in Colorado, she served as director of group sales at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel and Half Moon Bay. Previously, Gilbert served as a national sales manager for The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage and director of Northwest sales at La Quinta Resort & Club.
