Sacred Heart University Becomes Event Sponsor of CLN Student Nurses Day
Fairfield, CT (PRWEB) October 22, 2014 -- Sacred Heart University has become the event sponsor for the Connecticut League for Nursing's 34th Annual Student Nurses Day, which takes place at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, Conn., on Wednesday, November 5.
The Connecticut League for Nursing provides nursing students with resources and support while they pursue a nursing degree. In addition, it promotes continual education for its student members. Student Nurses Day provides current nursing students a chance to meet with individuals in the field and discuss the transition from academic students to practicing professionals.
Sacred Heart University offers a suite of accredited nursing programs, both on ground and online. Registered nurses can earn their degrees through the convenient online format while balancing the demands of work. Online programs include a RN-Bachelor of Science in nursing, Master of Science in nursing or the RN-BSN-MSN bridge program.
The online RN-BSN program features a nationally acclaimed core curriculum: The Human Journey, recognized as a model of values-based education by the AAC&U. The Master of Science in nursing program offers three specializations: Clinical Nurse Leader, Nursing Education and Patient Care Services Administration, and the RN-BSN-MSN program allows students to obtain both a BSN and MSN degree within the same program and in less time by having students take graduate courses at the undergraduate level and tuition rate.
On-ground programs offered at Sacred Heart University include a Bachelor of Science in nursing, as well as MSN and doctoral programs.
“Sacred Heart University and the Connecticut League for Nursing have had a long-term relationship. The opportunity to sponsor such a milestone event for student nurses is an honor. The organization’s mission and vision align with that of Sacred Heart University: to prepare students to make meaningful contributions in the world through healthcare” says Mary Alice Donius, director of the School of Nursing.
