Darrin starts off this easy guitar lesson by performing the lick so you can hear how it should sound. Goodman breaks the whole thing down so it is easy to play. Darrin demonstrates the lick as follows; 19th fret of the first string with 4th finger to the 15th fret with first finger to the open string, played as triplets, for two measures. Next is open first string to the 17th fret with first finger to the 20th fret with 4th finger, also played for two measures of triplets. Next Darrin repeats the first sequence. Then the 17th fret with 4th finger to the 14th fret with first finger to the open string, played for one measure as triplets. Then to the 15th fret with 3rd finger to the 12th fret with first finger to the open string and then play the same sequence on the 2nd string and then 12th fret with 3rd finger to the 10th fret with first finger to the open string and then the 10th fret with 3rd finger to the 8th fret with first finger to the open string. Next is 8th fret with 2nd finger to the 7th fret with first finger to the open string, played for two measures. And finally Darrin finishes it off with a long chromatic sequence of 1/8th notes.
