Detroit Torch and Mfg. Co. to Launch Industrial Torch Line at FABTECH
Orion, Michigan (PRWEB) October 28, 2014 -- Detroit Torch and Mfg. Co. will launch two new industrial torches — The Detroiter and The Enforcer — at FABTECH, November 11–13, 2014 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Ga. Company representatives will be on site at Booth C3538 to show off both pieces of equipment, which are the company’s first torches aimed at the industrial market.
The Detroiter is a heavy-duty V-style straight cutting torch designed to cut through metals anywhere from 1/8” to 12” thick with the appropriate tips. It comes in lengths of 17”, 21”, and 36” and can be used with multiple fuel gases. The Enforcer is a medium-duty oxy-fuel torch that can be used for cutting, welding, brazing, and heating.
Prior to developing The Detroiter and The Enforcer, Detroit Torch and Mfg. Co. was known as Cobra Torches Inc., the manufacturers of the DHC2000, a popular enthusiasts’ pistol-grip cutting and welding torch also known as the Dillon or Henrob 2000. All of Detroit Torch and Mfg. Co.’s torches are made in the U.S.A. and come with lifetime warranties.
Sponsored by the American Welding Society (AWS), the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International (FMA), the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), and the Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI), FABTECH is North America’s largest metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing event. At FABTECH, leaders in the metal fabrication industry showcase the latest industry developments, and discuss ways to improve productivity, increase profits, and develop solutions to industry challenges. The 2014 event will cover more than 500,000 square feet and is anticipated to attract over 27,000 attendees and 1,400 exhibitors.
“We couldn’t think of a better venue to launch The Detroiter and The Enforcer than FABTECH,” says Dan Cycholl, Head of Design and Engineering at Detroit Torch and Mfg. Co. “We made these torches with metal formers, fabricators, welders, and finishers in mind. We think they’re going to like what they see.”
