From the Bay Area to Ann Arbor, Seelio Is Building an A+ Team
Ann Arbor, Michigan (PRWEB) October 19, 2014 -- Just four months after being acquired by education leader PlattForm, Seelio, a student lifecycle portfolio solution, has more than doubled the size of its team, establishing itself as a destination for talent in the Ann Arbor area.
Most recently, Blake Nicholson, former head of people analytics at Facebook, joined the Seelio team as vice president of data & product insights. Nicholson said he was attracted to the team’s startup nature, team-focus, and mission to impact students across higher education.
“I’m really excited to join the team to help identify data insights that can make the product even more valuable for students and educators. I have always had a passion for education, and I look forward to helping students achieve their goals with our product and services,” said Nicholson.
Earlier this summer, Seelio further expanded its leadership team with the addition of Tiffany Marra as vice president of academics and services. Marra previously led the University of Michigan’s MPortfolio initiative and specializes in helping faculty integrate portfolios into curriculum.
“I joined Seelio to become part of a dynamic, flexible, highly skilled team that helps students reflect on and articulate their learning. It has been exciting over the past two months to learn, grow and develop with the team,” said Marra.
Hiring has been driven by growth in new partnerships with colleges and universities such as Purdue University Calumet, Tribeca Flashpoint Academy and the Moody Bible Institute.
“The most important thing for me, from day one, was building and supporting a team that could unite around our mission to create the world’s most prepared students,” said Seelio’s CEO and Cofounder, Moses Lee. “What we’ve been able to accomplish is a testament to the talented people who have made our company a really great place to work.”
