Houston, TX (PRWEB) October 20, 2014 -- On October 24th and 25th Bering’s, located in Houston, TX, will celebrate a landmark occasion orchestrated by the internationally acclaimed Herend Porcelain Manufactory of Hungary. After earning lasting fame worldwide for its exquisite porcelain soon after it’s founding in 1826, Herend today is the largest European manufactory of handcrafted, hand painted porcelain. It remains the brand of choice of royalty, leaders of nations and celebrities from all walks of life.
As one of only ten US retail dealers handpicked to host the event, the store will feature display shelves and tables laden with gallery-worthy porcelain finery rarely seen in the US, while accomplished Herend painter Marianna Steigervald demonstrates painting techniques and signs purchases. Customers can expect a stunning array of magnificent designs, novel show colors and captivating shapes. With something to entice Herend enthusiasts of every genre, the expansive assortment of show goods will be accompanied by other exceptional Herend porcelain gems, such as art sculptures from Herend’s limited-edition Reserve Collection. This year’s featured pieces include a blue jay in a rich mix of sapphire and blue with white and gold accents, and Pond Life with its masterful combination of fishnet and natural colors revealing a vibrant underwater world.
Other perpetually popular artist show pieces are figurines painted in Herend’s signature fishnet design in special show colors such as lavender, turquoise, platinum, cobalt blue and gold, black and gold, mosaic and 24-karat fishnet. Beautiful door prizes will be awarded, and while supplies last miniature figurines will be given as gifts with minimum purchase.
An extra special touch to this year’s events is a joint endeavor between Herend and luxury candle company Agraria. Long known for their beautiful scents, Agraria candles will be available along with a unique Herend lid created specifically for the candles to adorn them and keep them dust free when not in use. The lids are painted in Herend’s two top-selling patterns, Queen Victoria with a butterfly finial and Rothschild Bird with a bird finial.
While Marianna is an 18-year veteran painter at Herend, the 2014 artist event tour marks her first visit to the US. To welcome her, Herend and Bering’s invite all to join their hospitality rally to welcome Marianna to the US while helping a worthy cause to benefit. At the close of her tour, the location that Marianna feels was most welcoming will be awarded an exquisite Herend tureen and platter worth $6,500 for a local nonprofit organization selected by the winning store and its customers.
