Share Article

Kids of all ages look forward to the annual Shipshewana Light Parade which kicks off the holiday season in a magical style.

Crowds line the parade route in anticipation of breath-taking spectacles of glittering light, music, treats and fun. This year the event takes place on November 8th and as soon as the sun goes down (around 6pm) the procession begins with horses, wagons, and floats of all sizes. The evening concludes with the lighting of the giant Christmas Tree outside the Blue Gate Restaurant and Riegsecker's Furniture store. The lights, the caroling and all the enjoyment of the holidays has become an annual family gathering place.

This event takes place in downtown Shipshewana, Indiana.
