Jerry's Artarama Adds Prizes to Its 2014 Art Scholarship
Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) October 18, 2014 -- Jerry's Artarama, a national retailer of art supplies and materials headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, announces that with so many talented and wonderful entrants in its Empowering a Young Artist Scholarship, Jerry's has decided to give out additional prizes to its grand prize of a $5000 scholarship.
Funded by Jerry's Artarama and top quality brands such as Prismacolor, Winsor & Newton, Grafix, Golden LUKAS, Ampersand, Strathmore and Jack Richeson & Co., this year's scholarship has been increased to award an additional five art students financial scholarships of a hundred dollars each plus a fifteen dollar eGift Card to Jerry's Artarama Online Super Store.
All scholarship prizes from Jerry's Artarama are available to eligible to any graduate art student, undergraduate art student or high school senior planning on studying one of the fine art disciplines in college.
"We've had such an incredible amount of talented students entering for a chance to win the grand prize scholarship, we wanted to be able to reward other students," said Michael Marchetta, director of Marketing Operations for Jerry's Artarama. "Our selection process has been rigorous and the students and teachers have answered with many talented entries. Because so many students are facing financial hardships, we are excited to help these talented individuals."
Scholarship applicants be matriculated (or planning to matriculate) at a qualifying college, university or art institution in the United States for the fall 2014/spring 2015 academic year and intend to maintain full-time status for the entire year in the design/visual arts disciplines, such as painting, drawing, sketching or illustration (excluding fashion design, interior design, film, music or the performing arts.). Entries for the 2014 Jerry's Artarama Art Scholarship are limited to one per person and must be received in completion by October 31, 2014.
