WORX AeroCart Named Top-10 Winner of HANDY Magazine’s 2014 Innovation Awards
Charlotte, N.C. (PRWEB) October 21, 2014 -- The WORX® AeroCart™ has been named a top-10 winner of HANDY magazine’s 2014 Innovation Awards. Now in its 14th year, the annual HANDY Innovation Awards program recognizes products that exhibit outstanding initiative, creativity, invention, reinvention and eco-innovation.
Each top-10 winner of HANDY magazine's 2014 Innovation Awards received an elegant trophy, and 10 honorable mention recipients were given award plaques. All 20 award-winning products will be featured in HANDY’s Winter 2014 issue, as well as in the HANDY TOOL BOX newsletter, at HandyManClub.com and on the Handyman Club of America Facebook page.
The award-winning, multi-purpose AeroCart excels at dozens of moving tasks around the yard, house and workplace. It optimizes leverage and quickly converts into eight different types of cart, including a wheelbarrow, hand truck/dolly, extended dolly, bag holder, cylinder holder, rock mover, plant mover and trailer dolly.
As a wheelbarrow, AeroCart concentrates the center of gravity over two oversized, flat-free tires. Tests show that a 200 lb. load feels more like 17 lbs. Aerocart’s balanced, dual-wheel design alleviates side-to-side tipping, which can result in spilled loads and muscle strain.
Pull the release knob on the side of the cart and fold up the legs until they lock. Then fold down the front dolly plate, and AeroCart transforms into a hand truck for moving loads up to 300 lbs. AeroCart’s narrow, 22-inch width easily navigates standard doorways and gates for moving furniture, appliances, totes, boxes and building materials.
Drop-down extension arms convert AeroCart into an extended dolly for transporting bags of mulch, fertilizer, potting soil or logs up to 80 lbs.
The versatile cart carries large potted plants or shrubs by using an adjustable mesh with cinch strap accessory, which includes a set of steel rings that loop over the extension arms for stability. A webbed sling accessory is provided to move boulders and other odd-shaped objects.
AeroCart also comes with a cylinder holder for transporting water-cooler jugs and propane tanks, as well as a refuse bag holder for grass clippings, leaves and other yard debris.
By attaching a 1-7/8 or 2 inch receiving hitch ball (not included), AeroCart can be used to jockey boat, personal watercraft, snowmobile, ATV and motorcycle trailers up to 1,000 lbs.
The WORX AeroCart (WG050, $159.99) is available at http://www.worx.com, Home Depot and Menards retail stores and other online retailers, including Amazon and Sears. AeroCart also is available through regional hardware and home centers.
