The Battle of the Strands to Become "Global Beauty Masters" in 2014

17 professional salon teams from all over the world gathered in Las Vegas to compete for the title of “Global Beauty Masters”. Audiences worldwide will be able to tune in see all the action on “Global Beauty Masters,” a four part reality TV series set to air Dec. 2, 2014 on Discovery Fit and Health.

This year’s Battle of the Strands competition exceeded all expectations – bigger, better and bolder. Best of all, behind-the-scenes footage and everything surrounding this amazing competition was captured on camera by an award-winning Hollywood production team. Set to premiere as a reality series, “Global Beauty Masters” will air on Discovery Fit and Heath Channel beginning Dec. 2 at 5:00 PM EST (check local listings).

The four episodes of “Global Beauty Masters” showcased the week-long event. In a series of mind-boggling hair, make-up, mail and fashion challenges, the competitor's emotions and skills were put to the test. There were tears and meltdowns, but also triumphs and breakthroughs – “I think we’ve just seen the future of hair, and it took my breath away!” exclaims judge and renowned celebrity stylist Dusan Grante.

Included on the Battle of the Strands’ accomplished judging panel were Farouk Systems Inc-CHI ’s European Artistic Director and Global Artistic Board’s Patrick Kalle, multi award-winning and world renowned fashion and beauty photographer Babak, Creative Director for Vidal Sassoon for 15 years and owner of “Arthur Christine’s” Dusan Grante, America’s Top Model Winner Cycle 14’s Krista White and Colorist & Men’s Grooming Expert Diana Schmidtke.

Partnerships played a key role in overall success and expansion of the “Global Beauty Masters” brand. The competition worked in a promotional partnership with Fathom Events, live streaming the finale to more than 650 movie theaters across the country. Top beauty brands sponsored key challenges, including Farouk Systems Inc. - CHI, Millennium Systems International, Ultratress, Kryolan Professional Make-up and Bhumi Makeup Brushes. Other key partners who made this possible included: Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas, Rock Your Hair, Hot Tools, GROH, Gelish-Nail Harmony, Sexy Hair, Hattori Hanzo Shears, Fromm Beauty, Doucce Cosmetics, Enzo Milano, LeChat, Royal Cup Coffee, Lamborghini Las Vegas, Audi Henderson, IBS New York & Las Vegas, Premiere Shows, Daily Nails, Spa Week, the American Association of Cosmetology Schools, Televisa Publishing & Digital, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and Moreno sparkling wine. Rising pop star Manika performed at the live finale, also contributing songs to the “Global Beauty Masters” soundtrack.
