Benchmark Data Solutions recently completed the construction of a brand new 2,400 square foot facility outside of Edmonton near Camrose, Alberta. The new facility is designed to help better manage Benchmark Data Solutions' workflow, as well as provide additional space for at least four to five mobile communication towers. The mobile communication towers can then be transported and installed at remote sites.

Due to the large amount of space, the new facility will also be used for maintenance of the towers.

"There are both guyed and non-guyed mobile cellphone towers, which can be easily pulled and transported with a standard half-ton," says Bevan Hoynick, President of Benchmark Data Solutions.

Construction of the new facility began in spring of this year, and was recently completed in October. The new facility was built in order to expedite the assembly process and provide better assistance with preventative maintenance. This ensures faster delivery times; it will now take between three and five hours to transport the towers to their remote destination.

"Having this new building is a win-win situation for both clients and Benchmark Data Solutions -- we have faster assembly times, they get a quicker delivery time," says Hoynick.

The convenient location of the facility is conducive to a better work environment for employees, as the roomy interior provides space needed to assemble and service communication towers, which increases productivity.

"It's important to have facilities closer to where workers are maintaining towers," Hoynick states in regard to the new facility's location.

In addition to providing a better work atmosphere, the new facility provides employees with shelter during Canada's notorious winters and inclement weather. Winter temperatures in Canada's northern regions can drop to 40-below during peak winter months. The new facility provides a safe haven for employees should the weather make travel unsafe.
