Aeros Airship the 'Sky Dragon' Christened
Tustin, California (PRWEB) October 20, 2014 -- October 17, 2014, Aeros and guests gathered in Tustin, California to christen the Aeros 40D Airship ‘Sky Dragon.’ The distinguished guests were out for this christening to support the California based company. The list was long with members of the US Congress Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA), Grace Napolitano (D-CA), Loretta Sanchez (D-CA), Linda Sanchez (D-CA), and Judy Chu (D-CA), California State Assembly Members Matt Dababneh and Travis Allen, and the Mayor of Tustin, Al Murray. All spoke to honor the company’s latest milestone and delivery of Aeros' first airship to Mexico.
"The christening of Sky Dragon is an exciting and important event -- exciting because of its creative blend of old and new technologies, and important for global security and commerce. My congratulations to Igor Pasternak for designing and developing his dream into reality. May Sky Dragon be reproduced multiple times, to be seen overhead by Americans frequently in the future, and may the skies from Mexico to Kazakhstan be filled with his spectacular brainchild" said Congressman Dana Rohrabacher.
"For Mexico it's going to be the ability to spot leaks from the air, but it could be used for catastrophes, fires...and do all kinds of different things," said Congresswoman Grace Napolitano.
“These are products that see, deliver and connect all of our nations in the world at a time when we desperately - all of us - need to connect” said Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez.
“The ‘Sky Dragon’ is just the latest achievement in Aeros’ 25 year history. I congratulate Igor and his team for being on the forefront of technological advances in the air cargo transportation industry. They set an example for other manufacturers to follow in terms of innovation and development. We are fortunate enough to have Aeros operating in Southern California, where they create well-paying technical jobs and employ talented and highly skilled workers, and I look forward to celebrating many more achievements and milestones with them” said Congresswoman Linda Sanchez.
"I congratulate Aeroscraft on its new airship, the 40D Sky Dragon. This is a testament to Igor and his team's ability to innovate and push the industry ahead. Expanding into a new market in Mexico will mean more jobs and benefits here at home in California, and I wish Aeroscraft continued success in future endeavors" said Congresswoman Judy Chu.
“It is a great pleasure to renew the rich history of the South Hangar with a modern and technologically-advanced version of earlier airships. We, in the City of Tustin, greatly appreciate the partnership that Aeros has formed with our community, and we look forward to supporting their efforts in the future," said the Mayor of Tustin, Al Murray.
"We are lucky that so many of these political actors see a value in our products and the many implications they have for world. With their support, I am confident we can change the world" said CEO of Aeros, Igor Pasternak.
The celebration opened with words from the Congress Members and closed with a prayer and christening of the airship by priest, Father Baca.
The airship's owner and operator Grupo Toyan in Mexico will use the 40D Sky Dragon for multi-purpose applications including pipeline and power line monitoring. Earlier this month, the Aeros 40D "Sky Dragon" received type certification from the Government of Mexico. This is the first Aeros product to be delivered to our southern neighbors.
