Remember The Miners Honors Medical Personnel that Save Miners
Morgantown, WV (PRWEB) October 21, 2014 -- Remember The Miners, the not-for-profit public awareness campaign whose mission is to tell the story of the men and women of the coal industry, partnered with Huntington Banks of West Virginia to sponsor the 5th Annual Night of Recognition of the Jon Michael Moore Trauma Center at West Virginia University.
Each year, the highly skilled medical professionals of the WVU Trauma Center treat coal miners injured in the dangerous duties of their job. The Night of Recognition honors the men and women of the trauma teams responsible for saving the most seriously injured. From the emergency medical technicians and paramedics to doctors and nurses to lab technicians and nursing assistants, all of those individuals played a significant role in saving a life.
"The Jon Michael Moore Trauma Center cares for thousands of patients each year, many of whom are coal miners injured in accidents," said Jason Parsons, Co-Founder of Remember The Miners, "We are honored to join with Huntington Banks to recognize those that save the lives of miners and so many others."
Remember The Miners sponsors the Night of Recognition in honor and appreciation of the caring men and women of the Jon Michael Moore Trauma Center on behalf of West Virginia's coal mining communities.
