Woollaston at Mahana Cellar Door Reopens with a Fresh Look
Nelson, New Zealand (PRWEB) October 22, 2014 -- The Cellar Door interior has been renovated and expanded over the winter months. A purpose built annex will house the staff, opening up the former office space to better serve visitors throughout the year. There is now a spacious indoor section, opening out to the famous views over the Mahana Vineyard and Tasman Bay.
With the arrival of new chef, Jason Innes, the former menu of platters, salads, and BYO picnics is being replaced with an expanded menu designed to enhance the award-winning wines. The Mahana Cellar Door has both on and off premise licenses and wine sales will be supported by a new selection of branded merchandise.
“Our Mahana Vineyard has become a destination, known for its spectacular views, ambience and art gallery, as well as the superb wines”, said director Philip Woollaston. “Our response is to make it more comfortable whatever the weather in all seasons.”
The expanded Cellar Door has comfortable seating inside, as well as new decking around the exterior, creating more places to enjoy the award-winning wines. The art gallery, now called ‘Mahana Art’ has been refreshed and collectible art exhibited throughout the cellar door. “With so much to see and experience you have more reasons to visit us and stay longer,” stated Woollaston.
