IT Support Company Trots for Charity
Evanston, IL (PRWEB) October 23, 2014 -- On Sunday, October 26, a team from Stratosphere Networks will participate in the Evanston Trick or Treat Trot. The Halloween-themed 6k is presented by NorthShore University HealthSystem and will benefit Foundation 65.
Foundation 65 is an organization that raises funds and grants for District 65 schools located in Evanston and Skokie. F65 works to enrich school programs and encourage education. Since 2003, F65 has invested more than $1 million in various projects and programs for the district.
As a local Evanston company since 2010, Stratosphere Networks organized a team of seven runners, plus two volunteers, to show their support for their community. Other Evanston events Stratosphere Networks has been involved with in the past include the Evanston Fourth of July parade and the Evanston Food Truck Festival.
Stratosphere Networks is also participating in order to encourage employee wellness. The IT support company works vigorously to keep their client’s IT systems healthy and performing optimally. Therefore, it only makes sense for the individuals in the organization to do the same for themselves. Stratosphere Networks happily paid the registration for all of the employees interested in participating.
The Trick or Treat Trot 6k kicks off at 9:45 a.m. at Centennial Park in Evanston, IL. The race course runs north along the Lakefront Path and through Northwestern University’s campus. There is also a Kids Run for children under 12, with different distances depending on age.
